Minister Avcı and teachers from 81 provinces of the country visit Anıtkabır

Minister of National Education Nabi Avcı and teachers coming from 81 cities of the country visited the mausoleum of Atatürk on the occasion of November 24 Teachers’ Day.

Minister Avcı and the delegation consisting of ministry bureaucrats and teachers walked down the Lion Road and arrived at Atatürk’s mausoleum.

Minister Avcı laid a wreath at the mausoleum and observed a one minute silence with those accompanying him.

Later, he visited Misak-I Milli (National Pact) Tower and signed the Special Anıtkabir Book.

Minister Avcı wrote: “Beloved Atatürk, your directive concerning the foundation of National Schools which is a milestone in the history of our national education system, came into effect exactly 87 years ago, on November 24, 1928 and you have undertaken the mission of General Principal of National Schools and head master. Now, we have come to visit you with the devoted teachers of our country in order to commemorate this beautiful day. I am honored to say that the Republic of Turkey is in the place it deserves in the World stage and is becoming stronger every day.

We, the teachers  who devoted ourselves to the national education of our Republic, are working day and night in order to comply our national education to the requirements of today’s world and we adapt the mission of raising our children who will carry the Republic of Turkey to tomorrow. May Allah bless your soul.”
